Why am I so passionate about coaching owners?
I adopted a cattle dog mix named Bubba Gump in 2014. After weeks of searching, I came across his profile through a rescue organization, and I don't quite know how else to describe it... but I needed to have him.
He was terrified of the world and in desperate need for confidence boosting... and as a very new dog trainer, I didn't quite understand the journey this dog would take me on.
Bubba was a challenge in all the best ways, and once I understood how dogs behaved, thought, and responded to the world around them... it taught me that training was not just teaching a Sit-Stay and a polite heel. It's about building a beautiful relationship between our dogs to make our world, their world, make sense and take it on with confidence, together.
